Backstory
Altani was born deep within the desert of the Azim Steppe. Her birth was a mystery and her upbringing even more so clouded. Even though she was a non-native, she was cared for by the secluded Dotharl Tribe and brought up as one of their own. Their reasoning was that she was a fallen warrior that had been reborn, but they did not know who. And a child with the mark of a foreign god was not one to be ignored, and as such the village took her to raise.
To earn her way she learned to become a fearsome black mage. Training in the depths of the desert, taming fire, and conquering the savage lands until she was named co-chief of the Dotharl along side her adoptive sister Sadu. And as such, she was charged with leading her people to redemption.
Her leading act as a leader met her warriors in the snow torn lands of Ishgard, where they fell to an ambush by the Ishgardian Church. Barely escaping with her life, she was the sole survivor of this attack.
Years of trial and rebirth led her to retrain herself within the Thamaturge Guild of Ul'dah. Here she became a teacher, leading the next generation of mages until her body gave way to a horrid sickness that begun to eat and corrupt her once vast amounts of aether and left her blind.
Now, in the present day, she lives in Ishgard with her daughter. Her body is healing and her sight is back but something isn't right. The only explanation lies in the truth of her parents, the ones who gave her up when she was just a newborn.
Altani has a feeling she knows who her father is, but does she want to believe it? And does her parentage mean she and her daughter are still under threat by the Church and Halone herself?

Once known as a white haired, pale eyed woman. Upon recovering from the detrimental aether sickness, her hair is finally a striking black and her eyes are a deep, bold red. This was how she looked before coming to Eorzea. Nowadays she keeps her hair horn length with various braids or styles that require little effort on her part.She has a lithe build, and hides various marks and scars under her clothes. Scars that she is still very self conscious of. She sports long nails, and keeps a neat and tidy appearance.Don't let her size fool you as she is more than capable of taking care of herself.
